Privacy Policy

Taba Finance collects the minimum data necessary to provide the expense-splitting service: your name, email address, and the expenses and settlements you create within groups.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore) and is only accessible to you and the members of groups you join. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Authentication

Taba Finance uses Firebase Authentication. On web, you can sign in with Google or email/password. We do not store your passwords directly - they are managed by Firebase Auth.

Receipt Scan Processing

On web, receipt images are OCR'd in your browser and the extracted text is sent to Taba Finance's receipt parsing API. Receipt images are not stored by our server as part of this flow.

Splitwise CSV Imports

If you import a Splitwise CSV, Taba Finance reads the spreadsheet to create a new group, placeholder members, expenses, and payments in Firebase. The imported file is used for that import flow; Taba Finance stores the resulting group data, not the original CSV attachment.

Advertising

Taba Finance web may display Google AdSense ads. Ad loading can use cookies and related identifiers according to Google's policies.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. This removes your authentication credentials and profile data.
